We now approach these same issues from another angle. In a world where so much confusion abounds, how do we know what is “good”? And how do we discover what being human is really all about?

Galbraith, who wrote in the early 1950s about the financial crash of the late 1920s. The best way to keep the financial world on an even keel, he suggested, is to listen to the people who were around when the previous crash occurred.
